Program Eligibility Checklist

Eligibility Requirements

Established through Colorado Statue the following is required of a potential candidate.

  1. Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree issued by a regionally accredited institution of higher learning

  2. Secure a full-time teaching contract in the appropriate teaching/endorsement area with one of the following public-school districts: Colorado River BOCES member and associate member districts (Roaring Fork, Garfield Re-2, Garfield 16, Aspen, and Debeque), or other school districts from across the region or state.

  3. Complete an application to our program

  4. Complete an alternative license application with CDE online and receive an alternative license or interim alternative authorization from CDE for the appropriate teaching/endorsement area.

    • Endorsement Worksheets identify the degree, courses or Praxis exam required for each area of licensure.

    • You need to complete the Statement of Assurance form for your application.

    • CDE will also require that you submit fingerprints to verify your background.
